NON-CE RECORDING
Learning Objectives:
  • Explain the unique challenges of ventilating neonates, including anatomical and physiological factors that complicate respiratory support.
  • Describe the principles of Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) and how it can provide real-time insights into ventilation distribution.
  • Evaluate the clinical utility of EIT in common NICU cases, including its application in positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) titration, pneumothorax detection, identification of one-lung ventilation, and continuous ventilation monitoring.
Meet the Speaker:

Bradley Sexauer, MBA, RRT-NPS, is a pediatric respiratory specialist with more than 10 years of experience at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. As a Clinical Education Specialist at Sentec, he trains clinicians on respiratory care practices and will lead a session on practical insights on using Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) in the NICU to optimize PEEP, detect pneumothorax, and continuously monitor ventilation patterns.
